Stacker Joe

The World’s first (Patent Pending) Textile Stacking machine for under Garment Dryers.

Designed & Produced by Dekken USA

Stacker Joe is a Textile & T-Shirt Stacking Machine with a horizontal and a vertical linear motion. It is designed to be placed under a Textile & T-Shirt drying oven.

The Process:
The machine senses an item and starts the synchronization with the speed of the dryer. Then the item will be caught by the device “Stacker Joe”. After catching the item, the linear motion moves back to its waiting position.
Stacker Joe can e.g. stack up to 100  T-Shirts.
The operator can choose between two stacking options. One of the two reverses the item and stacks it upside down.
Once the capacity has been reached, it automatically discontinues the stacking and moves the stack to a location, where an operator can comfortably pickup the stack.

Advantages:
+) SJ is ideal for shops when many items are produced while screen printing or direct-to-garment printing.

+) In most cases, after the drying process, the item falls into a container. This results in wrinkled garments and is considered to reduce the overall presentation of same.
Alternatively, an operator can be employed, but that adds to the cost of manufacturing.

+) The shirts are typically placed on the dryer in the same direction. When stacked that way, the next step in the process (e.g. folding) can be done faster and easier, implying significant time savings.

+) Low footprint, as it is placed partially under the dryer.

+) Only 120 Volt AC required.

We can offer to further the automation and to discuss an offloading solution for a continuous run throughout an entire shift.

Machine Settings which can be modified and stored in Recipes (both models):

  • Start Location
  • End Location
  • Delay time, until the stacker starts to move in, after detecting a shirt
  • Belt – synchronization speed
  • Accel Speed & Accell Location where the machine speeds up to “stretch the shirt”
  • Catch Speed & Catch Location where the machine starts speeding up again to catch the last end of the shirt.
  • Return Speed
  • Lift or Lower the Tray (manually)
  • Amount of shirts/ load
  • Amount of shirts / project
  • Qty at which the stacker notifies the operator the capacity is about to be reached
  • Flip Shirt – Program, to turn the decorated side of the shirt around, facing the bottom.
  • other

Two machines can be placed on a double-wide machine!

Differences between “Stacker Joe – Basic” & “Stacker Joe – Pro”:
Stacker Joe – Pro will have

  • a more heavy duty safeguard frame work.
  • a more industrially “beefed up” linear motion (belt & bearings).
  • wheels / casters to move around (exchange) between dryers
  • a larger HMI
  • more industrial style components inside the control panel
  • approx. 30 shirts more capacity

Before ordering, customer shall provide information about

  • “front feet configuration” of the dryer
  • the location of the cross bar
  • the width of the belt from the dryer
  • the height of the lower end of the belt
  • obstacles at the very front end of the belt. E.g. motors attached, other
  • “Bells & Whistles”:
=> additional warning lights; e.g. at the front end of the dryer
=> additional HMI (touch screen options at a different place
    => additional sensors
=> additional programming, besides the standard

Please consider Stacker Joe as one possible solution to automate. Dekken USA can further the automation e.g. to unload to the side, allowing for a continuous production run. This however may be differently structured, depending on your particular shop situation.
